   1. A liquid consisting mainly of the lighter and more
      volatile hydrocarbons of petroleum or kerosene oil, used

      also petroleum spirit, petroleum benzine. Varieties or
      similar products are gasoline, naphtha, rhigolene,
      ligroin, etc.
