   Pennatulas. [NL., fr. L. penna a feather.] (Zool.)
   Any one of numerous species of Pennatula, Pteroides, and
   allied genera of Alcyonaria, having a featherlike form; a
   sea-pen. The zooids are situated along one edge of the side
   branches.
